I-SWEEEP
is a international competition for secondary school students (grades 6
through 12) with research projects in the area of Energy, Engineering,
and Environment. There are two divisions at the I-SWEEEP Fair
which will be held in Houston, Texas (April 15 - 20, 2009) Junior
Division (only open to US students in grades 6 - 8) and Senior Division
(open to US and International students in grades 9 - 12). A
project can qualify for I-SWEEEP 2009 in three ways: 1) Direct
qualification from a state or regional fair. 2) Recognition from a
state or regional fair. 3) Individual applications.
2008
was the first year for the this international competition. Though
3 students from Region 5 qualified to go, only one took advantage of the
